Wine Tip 11: Letting Wine Breathe

While wine is aging in the bottle it is critical to make sure the no air makes its way into the bottle. However, when you crack open a bottle it is important to give it at least a few minutes to “breathe”. Breathing lets the air hit the wine, which causes the tannins to mellow and the rich flavors of the wine to come out.

Next time you crack open a bottle make sure you give it a little while to breathe!
