North Carolina Wine TV Review:
Rose’s are interesting wines and the Skull Camp Wines Confusion is not any different. It is an example of how great North Carolina Rose can be. On the nose this rose shows melon rind, strawberry, lavender, raspberry and cranberry. In the mouth it shows great weight without showing any heat from the alcohol. Watermelon and strawberry are met with a tart cranberry flavor that comes from the Cabernet Franc grapes that the wine is made from. The Skull Camp Wines Confusion is a perfect balance of flavors, a great value at $13 and all of the things a great North Carolina Rose should be.

Hooray for pink wine! Love the creative name. This summer we tried a white pinot noir on Long Island called “Anomaly.”
Leandra,
We are big fans of the Pink wine here on NC Wine TV! Yes the name and the packaging both rock. They hit a home run with this one.

Jeff & Kipp,
Thanks for the awesome review… we feel the same! Glad you enjoyed the Confusion!
By the way, I was watching some of your older reviews (i.e. Episode #1) and heard you say that you want to do some wine/BBQ pairings. I thought I’d let you know that we’ve partnered with Bibb’s BBQ in Winston-Salem and are having a wine tasting/pairing at the restaurant next Thursday night (8/13/09). We are pre-releasing our Skull Camp Infatuation (semi-dry red) and will, of course, have Confusion plus Anticipation.
We’d love to see you and other loyal NC Wine TV watchers there!

I’m definitely a fan of Round Peak Vineyards, especially the Skull Camp Confusion. The Confusion will be enjoyed all summer long… Now I just need the summer to arrive.
