When many people think about sparkling wine they instantly think of parties, not food. However the truth is that sparkling wine can be a great match when paired with the right food. For this Food Friday we tried the Shelton Vineyards Blanc de Blanc with a fresh cut gala apple and the pairing was great! We have never had a Food Friday where the wine impacted the flavor of the food is such a clear and refreshing way. Watch today’s episode to learn more!

I love your “shows”! It’s so great to have youngsters like yourselves doing wine tastings and pairings w/food. I read the article in the Winston-Salem Journal about your site, and I immediately had to see what you were up to. I’m a retired gentleman, but I’ve forever been a food and wine enthusiast. My companion Regina and I moved to NC about 6 years ago. We’ve done sophisticated wine tasting dinners back in NJ and would love to share some ideas with you. We don’t have your technology, but we can offer some food-wine pairing ideas that have been successful for us and enjoyable for those in attendance. Like you, we’ve been impressed (and sadly, sometimes disappointed) in NC wines. Looking forward to future episodes.

Thanks for the kind comments. It’s great that you found our show through the Winston Salem Journal. The technology allows us to share our discoveries of North Carolina wines, both good and bad. As far as the food pairings, we have tried to keep it simple, so the focus is on the wine. We would love to hear some of your ideas. Email us at contact@northcarolinawine.tv.
Wonder why you do what you do? Comments like this one help justify the work. http://bit.ly/2QWrSW
