North Carolina Wine TV Review:
Oak, blackberry and alcohol dominate the nose of this wine. The alcohol is still present on in the mouth along side sharp tannins, we reviewed this wine very young and would recommend not opening for 6-12 mouths to let it mature. In the mouth flavors of black tea and roast meets along side toasted coconut. A well made wine an a solid North Carolina red wine, but too young at the time of review.

About 2007 Raffaldini Sangiovese Riserva:
Made with the famous Brunello clone, our Sangiovese Riserva is made from select barrels that are allowed extended aging time. The Riserva offers a smooth and rich mouth feel, with tannins that provide firm structure to the wine with a clean, subtle nose of red bramble fruit. The palate starts with refreshing bright red cherry flavors and moves toward softer and darker fruit tones; maybe a hint of chocolate; a touch of blackberry or such, with a sweet-fruit finish.
About Raffaldini Vineyards (from the winery)
The Raffaldini family motto, “Audentes Fortuna Iuvat” means, “Fortune favors he who dares.” This Latin phrase originates from the Aeneid, Virgil’s most famous work. Born in 70 BC during the reign of Julius Caesar, Virgil is best known as the author of this epic poem that links the birth of Rome to the Trojan War. The fusion of family, food and wine is an integral part of our daily life. For more than six hundred and fifty years, the Raffaldini family has witnessed many historic events and has often marked such occasions with special family dinners and homemade Italian wine.

Hi Guys…
Love the concept…we’re looking to do something similar with restaurants and other businesses here in the High Country. What’s your technical set-up? The video is great…you could use better audio pick-up, but I’m impressed.

Thanks for the comments. We shoot with either a Flip cam or a Kodak Zi6. These pocket video cams shoot great video, but they can be audio-challenged. The new Kodak Zi8 has an external mic jack, so upgraded audio quality is likely in our future. Separate mics will definitely make a difference. Good luck with your project.
