Wine Tip 20: How to Blend and Taste Wine

Michael Helton, owner and winemaker at Hanover Park Vineyard, describes his process of blending wines. It is not by flavors, but by how the different wines fill your mouth. He recommends tasting wine in same manner. Don’t just pay attention to the flavors, but where the wine hits you too.

   Have great memories of a wonderful weekend in Yadkin Yalley ending it at Hanover before heading back to reality.

   While we have not been to their vineyard yet, I do agree that Amy and Michael are nice and gracious people. Look for a review next week of the first of several their wines that we will be trying.
