On today’s special New Year’s Day episode of Food Friday, affectionately called the Hangover Edition, we pair leftover wine from yesterday, Shelton Vineyards 2005 Family Reserve Chardonnay with leftover food from our New Year’s Eve sandwich tray. We ate a roast beef sandwich on a croissant to see how the buttery, flaky bread changed the rich, bold, buttery nature of the Chardonnay.

Hello,
I was wondering if you could review, or if you have already, the Hinnant Family Vineyards Carlos wine? I am not much of a wine drinker but it is my favorite so far. It has what I called a smokey flavor but that might be what you described others as burnt-fan-belt taste.
Thanks.
Rand,
Thanks for your comment! We will add Hinnant Family Carlos to our list and get it reviewed as soon as possible. Please let us know if their are any others you would like us to review.
