North Carolina Wine TV Review:
The Hutton Vineyards 2006 Barbera has red fruit, cinnamon, tomato and cedar on the nose. This is a very tannic wine. Kipp tastes some cherry and raspberry, but Jeff has trouble finding anything beneath the tannins. There is also some of the North Carolina Green Meanie taste. The tannins overpower the finish of this thin wine.

About 2006 Barbera (from the winery):
This fine, estate grown and produced, medium bodied red wine develops subtle aromas of blackberry and chocolate, so reminiscent of the Yadkin Valley Region. It is round and rich on the palate; excellent with red meats, sausages and sauces for the pastas, as well as sipping for refreshment.
About Hutton Vineyards:
Less than a mile from Historic Rockford, close to the banks of the Yadkin River, lies one of the newest vineyards in the bustling Yadkin Valley wine region of North Carolina. With 45 acres of grapes and 30 acres of pasture, Malcolm and Heidi Hutton purchased their dream farm in 2002 and began their ambitious task of carving out a countryside vineyard and winery.
