The Old North State Winery Autumn Leaf Rose smells like a semi-dry rose with notes of watermelon peel, strawberry jam and grapefruit. The wine starts like a good rose with watermelon, strawberry and grapefruit. The second half of the wine is bitter and unbalanced. This wine did not finish well.

Made from Chambourcin grapes in a white wine style, its fresh fruit and floral aromas burst vividly before proceeding to rest beautifully on the palate. Perfect in hue and taste to fit between the heavy reds and lighter whites.

North Carolina Wine TV Review:
This wine from Old North State wine is classified as a light red wine. It is a deep pink with a nose of water melon peel and red raspberries. This wine starts out with a sweet strawberry taste on the tip of your tongue and then finishes dry and slightly buttery. The finish is slightly bitter and some artificial fruit flavors bring the rating of this wine down.
