Today we try some North Carolina chopped pork barbecue from The Pit in Downtown Raleigh, NC with Chatham Hill Winery’s Rubio. North Carolina Wine TV Review:
On the nose this wine dances with blackberries and raspberries that are ripe and almost sweet. In the mouth this wine is slightly thin, but develops a very nice red apple skin flavor that goes with the berry flavors very well. Chatham Hill’s Rubio is a wine that will please a crowd, it would be a good crossover selection for a white wine drinker looking to start drinking red wines, however, hardcore red wine fans may not favor this wine’s simplicity and its residue sugar.
